About This Attraction:

From The Scare Factor:

Summary:

For years, thrill-seekers have whispered about the legendary “7 Gates of Hell,” a series of old railroad trestles rumored to hold a sinister secret. According to local lore, if you pass through all seven in the right order—arriving at the final gate exactly at midnight—you could open a portal to the underworld. Each gate is said to harbor its own brand of eerie phenomena, from ghostly car sightings to disembodied voices calling out in the darkness.

Brave souls who attempt the “7 Gates Challenge” often report feeling an unshakable presence, hearing footsteps and even unintelligible whispers echoing beneath the tracks. Some say the reverse route reveals visions of a rip in space and time through a rearview mirror. While the legend remains unverified by conventional means, many who’ve driven these deserted roads (including our own Scare Factor teams! See attached YouTube video) late at night insist there’s more than enough evidence to keep your foot hovering over the brake. If you decide to investigate, proceed cautiously—you never know what (or who) might be watching from the shadows.

DISCLOSURE:
In all seriousness, this is an active public roadway. Use caution and obey all traffic and property laws if you decide to visit this location.

Locations of the 7 Gates, in order:
NOTE: If attempting the midnight challenge, and using navigation maps, you may need to alter the route to prevent passing through any of the gates twice and make the most efficient use of time. If simply visiting without attempting the challenge, you can disregard the “Waypoint” coordinates below:

Legends:
Gate 1: People claim to hear disembodied voices underneath the trestle.
Gate 2: Rumored to be the site of a train derailment decades ago—though official records are spotty. Some visitors claim to see a faint light hovering above the tracks.
Gates 3 & 4, “The Twin Gates”: Some report hearing vehicles approaching quickly when parked between the gates, but nothing appears. Gate Four is often considered the point of no return. Legend says once you pass this trestle, you’ll feel an urge to keep going—like you’re being pulled deeper into the unknown.
Gate 5: Not many reports on this one, but it’s one of the longest (and spookiest) of the 7 gates!
Gate 6: Legend says the echoes under this gate sound like actual whispers if you listen closely. People have heard their names being called, or so they claim. Some folks lump in the ‘Acid Bridge’ story with this gate. It’s said that back in the 1970s, a car of teenagers crashed here after a night of partying, and their restless spirits roam the area.
Gate 7: The final gate! Very ominous at night. Our in-house team reports intense GhostTube responses timed with passing through the gate at midnight – see attached YouTube video to watch them complete the challenge in forward AND reverse!
